PE Premium
At Market Field School, we believe that physical activity plays a vital role in supporting the health, wellbeing, confidence and independence of all our pupils. Through a broad range of physical education, sport and active experiences, we aim to help every child develop the skills, motivation and enjoyment needed to lead healthy and active lives.
The Primary PE and Sport Premium is funding provided by the Department for Education to improve the quality of physical education, sport and physical activity for primary-aged pupils. The funding enables schools to make sustainable improvements that have a lasting impact on pupils' physical development, health and wellbeing.
At Market Field School, we use this funding to ensure that physical activity is accessible, meaningful and enjoyable for every pupil, regardless of their individual needs or starting points. Our approach recognises that success in PE may look different for each child. For some, it may involve developing fundamental movement skills, confidence and coordination; for others, it may mean increasing participation in sporting activities, building resilience or working successfully as part of a team.

Through our Sports Premium funding, we seek to:
- Increase opportunities for all pupils to be physically active throughout the school day.
