Learning For Life
During the summer term our pupils in the Primary classes, KS3 and KS4 have the opportunity to participate in one of three school residential weeks. Typically Key Stage 2 pupils go to Mersea Outdoor Centre for a two night short activity break, pupils in Key Stage 3 go to Danbury Camp for an activity week and from July 2017 Key Stage 4 pupils will be going to Broadland Sands in Norfolk for a ‘seaside’ holiday/activity week.
Activities at Mersea include obstacle course, low ropes and pedal karts.
Activities at Danbury include high ropes, low ropes, go karting, canoeing, orienteering, swimming, the day at a theme park and a traditional camp fire/bonfire.
Activities at Broadland Sands are still being finalised but are likely to include a visit to Norwich castle, a day at a theme park, a day at the beach, shopping in Norwich, bowling and swimming.
Our pupils benefit massively from these trips and their confidence and social skills are greatly enhanced. More information about these trips is typically sent out in the early spring term.
